TENNIS – BAHRAIN’S Hajjar Zaidan will take on Egyptian Sara Wael Dessouky in the girls U-18 singles final of the 28th BBK Juniors Open Tennis Championship at the Bahrain Tennis Club courts in Juffair. This came to pass following their contrasting advances in the semi-finals yesterday with Sara breaking no sweat to get past local girl Mariam 6-0, 6-0, while Hajjar advanced following a no-show from compatriot Mariam Al Muqla. There will also be a local girl in the girls U-14 singles final after Salma Faragalla eased past Korean Clarissa Spivey 6-0, 6-1. Salma will clash with Rashmi Omaya, of Sri Lanka, who had a far tougher time against Bahraini Mariam Yasser managing to win 7-5, 6-4 in the other semi-final.
