Riyadh: Deputy Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia looks all determined to change the way the world, especially the West, looks at the kingdom.
He seems to break stereotypes by preferring to wear casual outfits over traditional bisht (a long cloak worn over the thobe) when meeting key figures during his recent visit to the United States.
The deputy crown prince met Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, US Secretary of State John Kerry and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey wearing a denim jacket and jeans.
This gesture manifests the seemingly new attitude of Saudi Arabian government’s approach toward the West.
The US media captured his photos noting that Prince Mohammad has a ‘youthful and cool appearance without a tie’ to reflect the new way of thinking in Saudi society, where youths account for 60 percent of the population.
Prince Mohammed's choice of Western attire - jeans, jacket and open-neck shirt and with less pomp than is usual presents a clear signal.
