THE Batelco Open Bowling Tournament gets underway tonight at 6pm at Ozone Entertainment Centre at Sitra Mall under the patronage of chief executive of Batelco Bahrain Muna Al Hashemi.
The qualification rounds will go on until April 21 and the finals will be held the next day.
The champion will receive BD600 from the total prize fund of BD2,000.
The top 16 from the preliminary round will qualify for the semi-finals. They will play nine games to determine the final standing, no final step ladder.
The prize presentation will follow around 8pm.
Prizes:
1 BD600, 2 BD300, 3 BD150, 4 BD125, 5 BD 100, 6 to 9 BD75, 10 to 13 BD50 and 14 to 16 BD25.
The chairman of Awali Bowling Club Yaqoob Al Shehabi thanked the management of Batelco for sponsoring the tournament and senior manager, Cooperate Communications, Osama Al-Sa’ad for his full support for bowling in Bahrain in general and Awali Bowling Club activities in particular.
