Saudi Arabia yesterday granted premium residency to the first batch of applicants among expatriates and foreigners.
Seventy-three applicants from 19 countries have benefited from the Greencard-style package.
“The applicants included foreign residents in Saudi and others from outside the country,” said the Premium Residency Centre.
They include doctors, investors and others seeking to settle down with their families.
More applications are being processed. Thousands of applicants have submitted premium residency requests through the centre’s online portal.
“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomes all brothers and friends living in the country or those who want to come and live on its territory as effective members of Saudi society,” said Premium Residency Centre chief Bandar bin Sleiman Al Ayed in a statement posted on Saudi Press Agency.
