Manama: More than 8,000 expatriates have so far benefited from the six-month general amnesty for workers staying illegally in Bahrain.
The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) assistant under-secretary for exits, search and follow-up Brigadier Youssef bin Ahmed Al Ghatam urged embassies to advise expatriates to benefit from the amnesty which will expire on Thursday .
