Manama: Bahrain has plans to increase the retirement age to 65 or even 70 for some categories, said Al Hekma Society for Pensioners chairman and Supreme Health Council president Lieutenant-General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.
The project is still under study, he said, stressing that the average national increase in life expectancy in Bahrain and GCC countries has reached 65 for men and 77 for women due to improved quality health services .
