A bird hit a Saudi Arabian Airlines passenger plane mid-air as it was landing at Cairo International Airport in Egypt, according to Al Riyadh newspaper.
The Saudi national carrier said that the collision caused minor damage to the radome, a dome protecting radar equipment on the outer surface of the aircraft.
Flight 311 was heading from Jeddah's King Khalid International Airport to the Egyptian capital.
The Airbus A-330 was able to return to Jeddah to undergo necessary repairs and maintenance work.
