Following last month's tragic amusement park accident in Taif, Saudi authorities have suspended two entertainment events in the Riyadh region due to safety concerns, specifically involving inflatable rides.
The order to halt the events came directly from Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Governor of Riyadh, who immediately instructed the Riyadh Police Chief to enforce the decision.
This action follows a horrific accident at Taif's Green Mountain Amusement Park last month, where a 360-degree swinging ride collapsed while in operation. The incident resulted in 22 injuries and one death. Two women who were injured in the accident remain hospitalised after one of the victims died from her wounds last Thursday.
