MOTORSPORT – A Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF) delegation, featuring officials from the Bahrain Motorcycle Commission (BMC) and Bahrain Drag Racing Commission (BDRC), has departed for the US to participate in a specialised training course organised by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), the largest drag racing organisation in the world.
The event will be held on the sidelines of the Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA US Nationals, scheduled to take place from Wednesday to Monday next week at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The participation of the BMF team, supported by BMF president Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa, aims to enhance the expertise of Bahrainis and develop their capabilities in the fields of safety and security, technical inspections, race organisation, and others.
The kingdom’s delegation includes BMF board member and BMC chairman Issa Al Awadhi, along with BMC members Abdulghaffar Al Bastaki, Isa Mahmoud, Ayoub Khalil Al Shaikh, and Ahmed Murad; as well as BDRC chairman Bader Ali, and BDRC members Adel Khamiri, Hassan Bahzad, Ayman Al Shaikh, and Hamad Bucheeri. They will undergo an intensive programme that covers many elements.
