MOTORSPORT – Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, accompanied by Finance and National Economy Minister and Mumtalakat board of directors chairman Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, attended the 2025 Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix, where McLaren secured a remarkable first and second place.
The one-two victory at the Hungarian Circuit in Budapest marks a significant milestone for McLaren, a team owned by Mumtalakat, the sovereign wealth fund of Bahrain.
On the occasion, Shaikh Mohammed extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Shaikh Mohammed commended McLaren’s outstanding performance, highlighting that the victory reinforces Bahrain’s leadership and expanding prominence in global motorsports.
