Starting from pole position for DAMS Lucas Oil, Maini sprinted to the finish line with a time of 44:57.639.

His win also makes him the first Indian to ever place first in Monaco.
Maini had qualified P10 for today's Feature Race, which placed him on pole for Saturday's Sprint race due to the reverse grid system. Maini placed fifth in today's Feature Race, earning his team DAMS Lucas Oil 10 points.
