THE Arab Esports Federation has announced the formation of the Women and Equity Committee for the first time, with a mission to promote gender equality and inclusiveness within the esports community.
As part of the initiative, the federation’s board of directors has appointed Zainab Al Turabi as vice-president of the committee, which will focus on developing policies and launching initiatives that support and empower women in esports across the Arab region.
Al Turabi currently serves as the secretary general of the Bahrain Esports Federation.
Her nomination is a testament to her vast expertise and credentials, which put her in a position to assist Arab women’s leadership and excellence, empower them, and increase their visibility and competitiveness in regional and global esports competitions.
