The President of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque Shaikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais launched the latest artificial intelligence-powered robot, "Manarah Robot," to answer visitors' inquiries at the Grand Mosque in multiple languages.
The initiative aligns with smart digital transformations and enhances modern technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) to enrich the experience of worshippers and visitors while conveying the moderate message of the Two Holy Mosques to the world in various languages.
Dr. Al-Sudais emphasised that the presidency has given great attention to enhancing and expanding the sites designated for answering visitors' inquiries within the Two Holy Mosques during the holy month of Ramadan.
He noted that this aims to provide high-standard religious services and improve their quality to accommodate the millions of worshippers and visitors.
He also affirmed that the robot serves as an innovative AI-driven tool for enriching visitors' experiences, representing an advanced and sophisticated model of AI designed to respond to inquiries from worshippers and visitors of the Two Holy Mosques.
He stated that the robot was specifically designed for the presidency as a smart reference powered by AI to answer religious and legal inquiries through a comprehensive and regulated database.
Additionally, he indicated that it offers direct communication with esteemed scholars via video calls if the question is not pre-stored.
