FOOTBALL – THE 2024-25 Nasser Bin Hamad Bahrain Premier League resumes tonight and tomorrow with the 12th round of action.
Three matches per evening are scheduled to take place, all kicking off simultaneously at 9.30pm at different venues.
Tonight, two-time defending champions Al Khaldiya face off with Manama at Shaikh Ali Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Stadium in Arad. League leaders Muharraq take on Al Shabab in an exciting clash between two teams in the top three of the table at Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Isa Town, and Riffa take on Al Najma in a meeting between the fourth and fifth-ranked sides to date at the National Stadium in Riffa.
Tomorrow, Sitra will go up against A’ali at Khalifa Sports City Stadium while Al Ahli will lock horns with Bahrain Club at Shaikh Ali Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Stadium.
The night’s other fixture will be between bottom club East Riffa and Al Malkiya at the National Stadium.
Heading into this week’s play, Muharraq’s Edimar Ribeiro Da Costa Junior remains as the league’s top scorer with 12 goals to his name.
He is followed by a pair of Khaldiya and Bahrain internationals in Mohammed Al Rumaihi and Mahdi Abduljabbar, who have scored nine and six goals, respectively.
Also on a six-goal tally is Abdulla Al Hashash of Ahli.
