We absolutely loved our recent visit to Sama Bay in Galali. We went just before Bahrain Sports Day and the buzz of activity was fantastic. There were so many people setting up for the celebrations and all the colourful flags flapping in the wind were a huge hit with our toddler.
Another unexpected treat was how close the aeroplanes seemed to be flying overhead – she was fascinated watching them!
We brought her scooter along and the paved pathways were perfect for her to zip up and down. She had an absolute blast, and it was so nice to let her burn off some energy in such a safe and open space.
The views of the sea were just stunning. Even though we didn’t actually go onto the beach itself this time, it looked incredibly inviting. The sand was pristine, and the water looked crystal clear. It was also reassuring to see lifeguards on duty, which always makes a beach visit feel safer.
What really impressed me, though, was how clean all the facilities were. As any parent of a potty-training toddler knows, clean restrooms are an absolute lifesaver! Sama Bay’s facilities were spotless, which made our visit so much less stressful.
It’s also worth mentioning the value. While there’s a small BD2 entry fee for the beach area, it’s fully redeemable against food and drinks at the outlets there, which seems like a great deal. Plus, kids under 12 go free, and you can bring up to five children under that age per paying adult! That’s fantastic for families.
Honestly, whether you’re looking for a place for your kids to run around, a beautiful spot to relax by the sea, or just a family-friendly outing, I can’t recommend Sama Bay enough. We’ll definitely be back!
