A Turkish man set a new Guinness World Record by throwing and hitting a target 183 feet and 8.72 inches away with an axe.
43-year-old Osman Gurcu has broken the previous world record of 164 feet with this successful attempt. This is Gurcu's eighth Guinness World Record.

"It was an incredible feeling to break the record because the distance is very far, and you have to be able to get far, and at the same time, the axe has to get stuck in the target board. I hit it many times, but it didn't get stuck, and I never gave up," Osman Gurcu told Guinness World Records.
Gurcu said that, unfortunately, he didn't get enough opportunities to practice for his attempt because it was cold and wet.
According to Guinness World Records, Gurcu regularly checks the site for new records to attempt and break. He also plans to continue trying to set new Records.
He said, "Being a record holder makes me very happy."
