An eight-year-old cat, Max, was hiding inside the washing machine when he endured a searing 40°C wash in Sweden.
The cat's owner only realised that her pet must be stuck inside the machine when there were only a few minutes left of the washing programme, according to TT News Agency.
As soon as she opened the lid, Max was motionless. However, she still rushed him to the vet for emergency treatment. It took three days of intensive care for the feline to return home miraculously.
The owner was worried that her beloved pet would be stressed and traumatised after the incident. Fortunately, Max seems to be acting just normal, and the relieved owner humorously says, "he has probably used up most of his cat lives."
