The Gulf Air Flight Attendants General Trade Union (FAGTU) team emerged as champions in the Gulf Air Group’s Winter Football Tournament.
Eleven teams representing employees from across the group and its portfolios, including Gulf Air and Bahrain Airport Company, competed for the title. Senior executive management were in attendance at the event.
FAGTU secured the first-place trophy while The Pilots team finished as runners-up.
Several individual honours were also given out in the prize-giving ceremony. Ali Sami from the Engineering Team earned the top scorer award, while Hussain Qurashi from The Pilots was named the tournament’s best player. Gulf Air FAGTU team’s Ali Rafee received the best goalkeeper award.
The event marked the group’s second tournament this year, following a successful competition held in Ramadan.
The tournament aimed to foster fellowship and positive engagement amongst employees across the group and its portfolios, promoting cross-functional collaboration and strengthening bonds between colleagues.
By creating an interactive work environment, the event to boost morale, cultivate teamwork, and promote employee well-being, aligning with the group’s broader health and wellness initiatives.
