Dubai Police unveiled the newest addition to their already impressive fleet of patrol vehicles. Their latest addition is the all-electric Zeekr 001, a high-powered all-electric car capable of producing 544 horsepower and going from 0 to 100 kph in 3.8 seconds.
Equipped with a 100 kilowatt-hour battery, the Zeekr 001 has a range of 580km on a single charge.
The addition of the Zeekr 001 is in keeping with the UAE's clean energy drive.
Brig Juma bin Suwaidan, acting director of Dubai traffic police, speaking to The National, said introducing the cutting-edge patrol vehicles would support a major push to harness advanced technology to enhance “both traffic management and security operations”.
“These patrols will significantly improve the quality of police and traffic services in Dubai, offering the highest service levels to the public,” he said. “They aim to improve response times and ensure swift arrival at incidents, ultimately enhancing police visibility in the field and strengthening public trust in the police force.”
Dubai Police's patrol fleet often goes viral, already having a Lamborgini, A Ferrari, a Bentley and an Aston Martin within its ranks.
