PARALYMPICS – Bahrain's team participating in this year’s Paris 2024 Paralympic Games have departed for Kazakhstan to conduct a training camp ahead of the mega event, which will be taking place from August 28 to September 8 in France.
Ruba Youssef Al Amri and Hussain Mohammed are both set to step up their preparations for the Paralympics in Astana, where they will be until August 19.
The pair have travelled along with Mohammed’s partner athlete Abdulla Jameel, and coaches Hassan Muftah, Musa Hassan, and Abdulla Al Shammari.
Al Amri will be competing in the women’s discus throw F55 category at the Paralympics, while Mohammed will be racing alongside Jameel in the men’s 400 metres T11 class.
The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will see more than 4,000 para athletes from around the world competing for more than 500 medals in 22 sports, which will include individual and team events.
