The World Health Organisation (WHO) has called on all member states including Bahrain to update their national Covid-19 plans and to continue to collect and report data on the disease to ensure it is well-managed going forward. During an interview with the GDN, the WHO country office in Bahrain echoed recommendations issued by the WHO director-general Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus, as Covid-19 transitions from being a public health emergency of international concern to its management within broader disease prevention and control programmes .
