Bahrain’s Tumooh Ole Academy won the under-12 and under-14 titles in the Quattro Gulf Academies Championship 2023, held in Ajman, UAE.
The Bahraini teams dominated the football tournament, clinching their respective titles for the third consecutive time.
In the finals, they defeated the Argentine Academy teams 3-0 and 2-1 in the two age-groups.
The Bahrain teams thus achieved an historic double in the sixth edition of the competition.
The Bahraini teams were honoured at the closing ceremony, held under the patronage of Shaikh Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi, chairman of the Ajman Tourism Development Department.
Also in attendance were Ahmed Al Raissi, chairman of the organising committee; Abdulaziz Abdullah, general supervisor of the championship; and Abdullah Al Bakr, representative of the Ajman Tourism Development Department.
The tournament started in 2016 with the participation of six teams. This season, 14 teams took part from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Iraq.
