Bahrain: A new Mercedes-Benz E-Class car was officially unveiled by Al Haddad Motors (AHM) at its showroom in Isa Town.
The 2017 E-200 sedan offers several state-of-the-art safety and driver assistance features such as the Drive Pilot cruise control system that automatically keeps the car at a correct distance from vehicles in front of it.
The Active Brake Assist system uses sensors to automatically apply breaks if the driver fails to respond to warnings from the sensors and the Active Blind Spot Assist warns the driver of any traffic in blind spots to avoid collision during changing lanes.
A system will soon be in place for drivers to use the Remote Parking Pilot system which allows the vehicle to be moved in and out of garages and parking spaces remotely using a smartphone application.
“The all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class sets a whole new standard for executive sedans,” said Al Haddad Motors general manager Graeme Newport.
The four cylinder 2017 E-200 Mercedes-Benz comes in one option and is currently priced at BD24,000.
The next car in the E class, the E-300, will be revealed soon.
