Riyadh: A video went viral showing a man ruthlessly slapping a small child as he cheered for Al Ahli club after it won the Abdullatif Jameel Football League Championship.
The Ministry of Social Affairs appealed to the public to help identify the man who beat up the child simply because he was cheering up after his favourite team won the finals, reported local Arabic daily Al-Riyadh.
The ruthless man, reportedly his brother, was heard asking the boy who was wearing Al Ahli uniform: “which team do you support?”
Social media users called on security authorities to initiate action against the man.
Jeddah-based Al Ahli clinched the Abdullatif Jameel Professional League Championship last night after beating Al-Hilal 3-1.
