Dubai: UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum hoisted the Emirati flag at the iconic square of Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
The hoisting ceremony signaled the beginning of the festivities across the seven emirates, marking the annual Flag Day, a symbol of unity and patriotism.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of school students who were waving the UAE flag.
Shaikh Mohammed called last week for hoisting the flag on November 3 at 11 am, to mark the day UAE President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan assumed power.
