Manama: Bahrain’s first female councillor died yesterday.
Fatima Salman, who also made history becoming the first municipal council member in the GCC, served as the councillor in Busaiteen from 2010 to 2014 .

Ms Salman voting during the 2010 council elections where she won, making her the first woman councillor in the Gulf.
