MANAMA: The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has ranked Bahrain among the leading countries globally and first in the Middle East in the Telecommunications Infrastructure Index, said Transport and Telecommunications Minister Kamal Ahmed.
In a statement to our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej on the sidelines of the launch by VIVA of 5G Platform for the first time in Bahrain, he said, “The move will undoubtedly contribute to boosting infrastructure in Bahrain placing the kingdom among the most advanced countries in the field of telecommunications and digital revolution, regionally and globally” .
