Riyadh: Saudia Airlines jet made an emergency landing in the Gulf Kingdom.
According to the Arabic language daily Sabq, the plane hit a snag as it entered the Saudi airspace.
The Boeing 777 flight took off from the Canadian capital Toronto en route to the Riyadh when it developed a technical problem.
This prompted the pilot to make an emergency landing in the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah, said the paper.
The paper added, “Flight 060 landed safely in Jeddah and the passengers were transferred to another aircraft, which flew them to Riyadh.”
