Muscat: GreenParking, a division of FutereLink, which specialises in parking management solutions is looking to introduce more electric car charging stations in Oman.
The country already has 12 existing charging stations in several parts of the country, including Musannah, Muscat, and Sohar.
The motivational factor behind this move is to promote the use of electric cars in the country.
GreenParking already has 250 charging stations in the UAE.
The CEO of GreenParking, Sam Alawiye, says that the company plans on having around 50 stations all over Oman by the end of 2018.
In order to encourage people to use electric cars, the company plans on making the service free until the end of 2019.
