Kuwait has reportedly proposed the postponement of the 39th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) by six months.
The other GCC member states have yet to reply to the Kuwaiti proposal, sources told Saudi Okaz newspaper.
The Kuwaiti proposal came in the backdrop of the current crisis opposing the Arab quartet and Qatar, in addition to other regional developments.
The annual is scheduled to be held in December in Kuwait City. The host country has not undertaken any preparations or sent invitations to the GCC leaders.
