Torrential rain hit parts of Saudi Arabia, particularly the province of Aseer, according to Sabq newspaper.
Rainwater disrupted the flow of traffic in many areas and flooded houses, isolating many villages.
A book fair being held inside a big tent in Medina was also hit due to the floodwaters.
More than 200 exhibitors were taking part, showcasing over 80,000 books.
