Doha: Torrential rain is expected to hit Qatar on Thursday due to a high-pressure front affecting the Arabian Gulf. The directorate of meteorology at the Civil Aviation General Authority issues a warning. Offshore North-westerly to North-easterly winds will range between 3 and 13 knots, reaching upto 22 knots in some areas.
Seafarers were urged to be prudent with horizontal visibility ranging between 4 and 8 kilometres, even dropping to 3 kilometres in some areas.
