Cairo: Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Egypt's Chief Executive Officer, Acting Chairman of the Board, and Managing Director Nevine Ibrahim Lotfi was found murdered in Cairo.
Egyptian police discovered the body bearing bruises and deep wounds, at her home, located in the 6th of October suburb on the outskirts of Cairo.
An investigation and forensics team arrived at the murder scene shortly after the incident. Initial police inquiry revealed that the 64-year-old woman had been violently stabbed multiple times.
Lotfi began her banking career with Citibank in March 1976 where she joined their Cairo office as a financial analyst. She graduated with a BA in Economics from the American University in Cairo.
With over three decades of banking experience, Lotfi had a diverse background and had worked across the corporate, SME and retail sectors.
