An awareness campaign has been launched by the Coastguard, in collaboration with Bapco Energies, to educate seafarers on an ongoing marine survey project in Bahrain’s northern waters.
Held at Muharraq Fishermen’s Harbour, the initiative targeted fishermen and boat owners, as the survey began earlier this week and is set to continue for two months.
The Coastguard urged seafarers to maintain safe speeds near the work area, avoid approaching or tampering with survey equipment, and comply with maritime guidelines issued by authorities.
It also stressed that all fishing activities, including the use of equipment, are prohibited within the project zone.
The campaign featured the distribution of awareness leaflets and direct engagement with fishermen and sea-goers to address their queries.
