Alosra Supermarket celebrated yesterday the graduation of a new group of trainees from Alia Rehabilitation Centre, marking another successful year of empowering differently-abled individuals through practical workplace training and skills development.
The glitzy ceremony took place at Downtown Rotana in Manama attended by family, friends, supporters and senior representatives of all the participating organisations.
Head of Alosra Supermarket Ayachi Jomaa, said: “We’re incredibly proud of every trainee graduating from this year’s programme. Their dedication, enthusiasm and growth throughout the training journey have been truly inspiring. Together, we are creating pathways that help build confidence, independence and future employment opportunities.”
For more than nine years, Alosra Supermarket and Alia Rehabilitation Centre have also maintained a strong and impactful partnership focused on equipping trainees with the confidence, skills and real-world experience needed to thrive in the workplace. The popular retail company has also continuously supported the centre’s initiatives through vocational training opportunities, sponsorships and community-focused programmes that help promote inclusion and independence.
This year’s programme provided trainees with hands-on experience across Alosra’s Amwaj Islands and Janabiya branches, in areas such as customer service, merchandising, stocking and day-to-day retail operations within a supportive and inclusive environment. The participants were able to strengthen both their professional capabilities and personal confidence guided by Alosra team members alongside Alia Rehabilitation Centre’s dedicated counsellors and specialists.
General Manager of Downtown Rotana, Nicolas Gardier, added: “Partnerships like this demonstrate the positive impact that can be achieved when organisations come together with a shared purpose. We sincerely thank Alia Rehabilitation Centre and Alosra for their collaboration and unwavering commitment to empowering individuals and fostering inclusion.
“We view this as a long-term partnership and are proud to support ongoing training, development and community initiatives that create lasting opportunities. Together, we’re helping build a more inclusive future, and we look forward to strengthening this collaboration for many years to come.”
The graduation ceremony also reflected Alosra’s continued commitment to its promise of being ‘Always With You’ following other initiatives that aim to foster inclusion and community development, the company added.
