THE Nasser Centre for Science and Technology is committed to building national talent equipped with the tools for excellence in the new knowledge economy, His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and the centre’s board of trustees chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has said.
He noted that empowering young people with knowledge and specialised skills represents a national investment that enhances their global competitiveness and supports sustainable development efforts, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad and the continued support of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Shaikh Nasser made the remarks when he attended the graduation ceremony for the 10th cohort of students from the centre.
The ceremony, held under Shaikh Nasser’s patronage, was attended by Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Shaikh Mohammed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, ministers, senior officials and parents.
The centre celebrated the graduation of 179 students from specialised educational pathways, including engineering, technological innovation, sports and business management.
Shaikh Nasser said that Bahraini youth constitute the nation’s most important asset and the main driver of development efforts, affirming that the centre continues to fulfil its role in preparing qualified young talent equipped with the knowledge and skills that enable them to compete and innovate across various vital sectors.
The centre’s CEO, Dr Abdulla Al Nuaimi delivered a speech in which he noted that the graduation marks a significant milestone in the centre’s record of achievements over a full decade and reflects the advanced position it has established in the field of quality education and training through the introduction of pioneering programmes and specialisations across the region.
He added that the centre has expanded its services to include professional training for individuals and organisations, in addition to developing artificial intelligence solutions for organisations.
Dr Al Nuaimi noted that graduates of this cohort successfully obtained a number of internationally recognised certificates and accreditations in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, as well as sports and business management, reflecting the success of these programmes in preparing qualified national talent in accordance with the highest academic standards and the requirements of rapidly evolving economic and technological sectors.
