Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa received retired Air Marshal Martin Sampson, Executive Director of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Middle East, in the presence of Major-General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Public Security.
The Interior Minister welcomed Air Marshal Sampson and emphasised that the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad continues to guide Bahrain towards security and stability, praising the measures undertaken by the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in addressing the repercussions of Iranian attacks.
He praised the role of research institutions in supporting decision-making through specialised studies, noting the contribution of the IISS in promoting global peace and organising international forums, including the Manama Dialogue.
