An Indian man allegedly bludgeoned his manager to death following a dispute over turning off the lights at their workplace in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
41-year-old Bheeshma Babu, manager of a digital vault and photo-editing firm, was allegedly killed by his colleague Somala Vamshi with a dumbbell.
The incident occurred after Babu asked the man to turn off the extra lights, which led to a heated argument.
According to the police, Babu was sensitive to bright lights and frequently requested his colleagues to switch them off.
The 24-year-old accused was working overnight when Babu asked him to turn off the lights, triggering a heated argument at around 1 am.
Vamshi and Babu allegedly engaged in a fight, where Vamshi threw chilli powder at Babu and, in a fit of rage, hit him repeatedly over his head and chest with a dumbbell.
Babu was rushed to a hospital, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The accused surrendered at a police station shortly after the murder.
