In a shocking twist of events, an infant from India bit a cobra to death after it had coiled itself around his hand.
One-year-old Govind Kumar from the village of Bettiah in Bihar reportedly bit the venomous snake to death after encountering the cobra while playing. The cobra coiled itself around his hand, and the infant bit it in response, killing it.
According to reports, the boy fainted after biting the snake. He was rushed to a medical centre and is in stable condition.
"When we saw the snake in the child’s hand, everyone rushed towards him, but in the meantime, he had already bitten the snake, killing it on the spot," the child’s grandmother told local news.
After receiving initial treatment at the village's primary health centre, the boy was then taken to the Government Medical College Hospital.
"The child's condition is currently stable, and treatment is being administered under the supervision of doctors. The medical team is treating the child, providing continuous medication, and he is under observation,” Dr Kumar of the Government Hospital said.
