BASKETBALL – TEAM Saar claimed back-to-back victories in the Bahrain 3x3 Summer Tour 2025 after winning the series’ fifth and penultimate round held at the Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) Arena in Um Al Hassam.
The event featured 22 squads and it continued the six-round competition’s maiden campaign, sanctioned by the International Basketball Federation (Fiba). It offers a total prize pool of more than $6,000.
Saar secured first place after winning all six of their games. They were joined in the top three by runners-up BS Action and third-placers Tranquillo.
Following all the action, the winners were presented their respective awards by BBA official Mohammed Ahmed.
With Saar claiming their second successive triumph of the Bahrain 3x3 Summer Tour, they became the first team to win multiple events. The other rounds were claimed by Seef, BS Action, and the Falcons.
The series now heads to its last meeting before the highly anticipated grand finale, which is known as a Quest event. There, the winners will punch a ticket to a Masters competition on this year’s Fiba 3x3 World Tour.
The Bahrain 3x3 Summer Tour is part of the BBA’s agenda aimed at promoting basketball during the summer and providing a competitive platform for the game’s enthusiasts in a dynamic format, played on a half-court with one hoop.
This championship represents a key initiative by the BBA to expand the participation base and establish Bahrain’s presence on the international 3x3 circuit. This edition marks the launch of what will become an annual event.
