Makkah: On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, was honoured with the task of washing the Holy Kaaba.
The Deputy Governor performed the ritual washing of the interior of the Holy Kaaba using Zamzam water mixed with rose water. This was carried out by rubbing the interior walls with pieces of cloth pre-soaked in the specially prepared mixture, provided by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
