The Second High Civil Court of Appeal upheld a ruling requiring a research and teaching assistant to repay BD108,000 to a university, which represents the expenses and costs incurred to sponsor him for a PhD programme at a European university.
The sponsorship was made in hopes that he would return and be appointed to the university after completing his PhD .
