US President Donald Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize after his work on the Iran-Israel conflict.
Trump, who was previously nominated in 2018, 2020, and 2021, has been nominated by Republican Representative Buddy Carter, who credited Trump and US strikes on Iran with "preventing the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism from obtaining the most lethal weapon on the planet."
"If we can get Iran to change its behaviour, then President Trump deserves a Nobel Peace Prize on steroids," Senator Lindsey Graham told CNN.
Trump himself has mentioned publicly that he wants the prize on several occasions.
Lamenting about not getting one yet, Trump said, "I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize no matter what I do," on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Pakistan has also nominated Trump for the prize after his claims of mediating a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, which New Delhi denied.
