An expat in Kuwait attempted suicide by consuming a cleaning liquid. He survived after being rushed to the hospital with high levels of toxins in his body.
The 25-year-old man immediately underwent gastric lavage (stomach pumping) and later confessed to attempting suicide. After receiving medical treatment and stabilising his condition, Kuwaiti authorities referred him for deportation.
This incident follows another similar tragedy yesterday, when an expat died by suicide after jumping off a building in Ahmadi, Kuwait.
