Bahrain is committed to promote physical activities and sports, said Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday.
Physical activity is the cornerstone of public health and sustainable community development, Shaikh Mohammed said while inaugurating Alnakheel Premium fitness centre in Sama Bay.
Supported by the vision of His Majesty King Hamad and the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, development of physical activity reflects Bahrain’s broader objective to integrate sports into daily life, he observed.
Shaikh Mohammed commended the contributions of national and private firms in establishing modern sports facilities that cater to community aspirations and encourage active lifestyles.
The launch of Alnakheel Premium marks a valuable addition to the kingdom’s sports landscape, Shaikh Mohammed added.
Shaikh Mohammed toured the fitness centre and was briefed on its integrated offerings.
Several senior officials also attended the opening ceremony.
