His Majesty King Hamad has emphasised that Bahrain remains a model of tolerance and pluralism and a hub for intercultural dialogue, in line with its national values and longstanding traditions rooted in the principles of Islam.
This came as the King sent a cable of congratulations to King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence (KHGC) board of trustees chairman Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, following the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of Bahrain’s initiative to designate January 28 as International Day for Peaceful Coexistence .
