Sports Festival – Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) and the International Sports Academies Federation announced the postponement of the third edition of the Alba Sports Festival, originally scheduled to be held at Alba Club in Al Buhair next Friday and Saturday.
The event will now take place on February 14 and 15.
The decision to postpone was to introduce new sports to the festival’s programme, including Strongman competitions, fencing, and calisthenics, contributing to a more diverse range of activities.
The third edition will coincide with Bahrain Sports Day events, reaffirming Alba’s commitment to supporting sports and athletes in the kingdom.
To promote inclusivity, the upcoming edition will focus on engaging orphans and individuals with special needs by organising dedicated sports and entertainment activities, in collaboration with civil society organisations and specialised social centres.
This reflects the festival’s role in involving various community segments and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
Festival director Saleh Al Ammar stated that the event consistently strives to provide a comprehensive and exceptional sports experience. He emphasised that the updates aim to enhance participation and attract more athletes and enthusiasts.
Al Ammar also confirmed that the registration period has been extended until February 6, offering everyone the opportunity to join this significant sports event that embodies sportsmanship and community collaboration.
