Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a Saudi Arabian businessman and investor, announced on Tuesday that his company would reconstruct Beirut's Four Seasons. He said the election of a new president also marks a "new era for Lebanon."
The hotel is expected to reopen by the end of next year.
He stated that "on the occasion of a new era for Lebanon, and under the leadership of His Excellency President Joseph Aoun, I am pleased to announce that the Four Seasons Hotel, Beirut, which Kingdom Holding Co. built, will be entirely reconstructed and refurbished by Kingdom Beirut S.A.L and will reopen to the public in Q1 2026."
The existing hotel was damaged due to the Beirut Port explosion in 2020, along with Downtown Beirut, a popular area for Gulf tourists before the Syrian war.
Prince Alwaleed added that the Four Seasons would be upgraded "with an entirely new look that is set to position the asset as one of the best urban resorts in the world."
