The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) executive board has appointed Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) vice-president Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa as OCA vice-president for the third Asian Youth Games.
The event will be hosted by the kingdom October 22 to 31 later this year.
Shaikh Isa expressed his appreciation to Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and BOC president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his nomination.
Shaikh Isa also thanked the OCA executive board for their trust and highlighted Bahrain’s reputation for hosting major sporting events, supported by His Majesty King Hamad.
