His Majesty King Hamad yesterday received the King’s Personal Representative and President of the Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa at Al Safriya Palace.
They reviewed topics related to the preservation and development of Bahrain’s marine, fisheries and wildlife resources, and measures being implemented to safeguard these resources.
The King praised the SCE’s efforts, in co-operation with various ministries and government entities, to protect Bahrain’s natural wealth.
His Majesty emphasised the importance of ensuring the sustainability of these resources for future generations through effective plans and programmes.
He noted the importance of regulating efforts to protect wildlife and enact laws to conserve these resources.
The King wished Shaikh Abdulla and other SCE members further success in their endeavours.
Shaikh Abdulla expressed his appreciation to the King for his continuous support for the SCE’s efforts, plans, programmes and initiatives aimed at serving the kingdom and its people.
